Prado 120 Series Dual Battery System
The Prado has a perfect spot for a second battery on the drivers side of the engine bay and we have battery trays specifically made to secure a deep cycle battery in that spot and look like it was made that way from the factory, in the V6 Prado we have to relocate the power steering resevoir and can fit a 80AH deep cycle battery (lead acid) and in the 3.0L Diesel we can fit a 105AH deep cycle battery (lead acid)
We use a Redarc BCDC charger to charge the second battery due to its durability and suitability for under bonnet use, this fits neatly on a bracket behind the front grille, and also has a built in solar regulator that we wire to an Anderson plug input.
Down the back we can mount the 12v outlets and a voltmeter on either side of the cargo area panels depending on your preference and use.
